HÁMOR JÓSZEF
The project based Gangaray Dance Company was founded in 2004 by the Artist Director József Hámor .
The ensemble has won awards for best choreography at many festivals with it's unique form of using the body and it's dimensions. The works are characterized by "rhythmic elegance", "energy bending painting" and "composing dimensions".
These features are the main focus of he company.
The artist director’s choreographies requires high level of technique, dynamic, punctuality and suggestive performing skills.
The unique movement language of the artistic director requires a high technical skill, dynamism, precision, suggestive performance and an outstanding sense of music and rhythm.
In the repertoires József devoted on the precision of different quality in contemporary dance, focusing on the diversity of the body and the relationship between music and space without telling a specific story. This narrative-free form of expression puts the expressive power of the movement at the center, which gives the opportunity to the audience to travel into new worlds.
The mission of the company is to represent its dance centered performances on a world-class basis and also to educate by emphasizing the importance of contemporary dance art.

Gangaray DANCE COMPANY
The project-based Gangaray Dance Company was founded by artistic director József Hámor in 2004.
Honoring the unique form of using the body and it's dimensions, the company has won the award for ‘The best choreography’ at many festivals.
Gangaray’s works can be described with attributes such as "rhythmic elegance", "the painting of energybending" and "composing dimensions" the best.
The unique movement language of József Hámor requires high level of technique, dynamism, precision, suggestive performance skills and an outstanding sense of music and rhythm.
Our repertoires are devoted to staging high-quality contemporary dance, without telling any specific story. Focusing on the endless possibilities that lie in human bodies and playing with the relationship between music and space, this narrative-free form centres the expressive power of movements, taking the audience by storm.
Gangaray’s mission is to show the beauty of pure dancing, emphasizing its importance in the contemporary dance scene.

HÁMOR
József Hámor is one of Hungary's most dynamic artist, award-winning dancer and choreographer. Since his first piece was premiered in the National Dance Theatre in 2002, Hámor’s work has been dominating in the contemporary dance scene. By creating Gangaray Tale, he established Gangaray Dance Company in the autumn of 2004.
Besides his creative work, he has an unquestionable role in the pedagogical work of Hungary. He is regularly invited by professional dance companies and schools to choreograph or to teach.
NEW DIMENSION
We are extremely proud to announce that our Artistic Program has the privilege to present its work in collaboration with the National Dance Theatre, the highest-standard cultural centre of the Hungarian dance scene from the season 2021/22 onwards.
Our students have the chance to learn from Gangaray Dance Company’s repertoire and show themselves in front of remarkable audiences.
In addition, the participants can perform their personal work at Bethlen Theater in Budapest, mentored by artistic director József Hámor and by the program's founder
Tímea Kinga Maday.

We are happy to announce that Gangaray found a wonderful new home, a place worthy of our company and international talent program.
